Dating Safety - Online Dating Success Series

For safety , you should always meet in a public place like a Starbucks coffee shop or something similar. You don't know the person yet nor they you . And don't give out too much personal informaton like address or phone numbers.Use a cellphone to chat if possible.

Always use a free email account like gmail. A free email account is always changeable and doesn't reveal too much about yourself yet. Most online dating services give you an email address associated with the site for messaging and such when you take it to the next level, use a free email account.

Once you've cleared some hurdles , you should check your mate for verbal cues that indicate the person you're dealing with. Do they ask about money? If so , they might be financially secure. Are they controlling ? Most of the questions a person asks are really about the person who's asking. Assess why they're asking the question can give insight into the person you're dealing with and if they are a worthwhile pursuit.

There's nothing wrong in asking someone if their photos are recent. If they don't have a photo, request a recent one. It's important for you to get a good look at the person you may eventually meet. Plus your instincts from your communications and their photos may provide you with valuable insight into the person. Plus, if they tell you the photo is recent and you meet and see a major difference, then you'll know the person lied and can cut the date short. If a person lies about their photo or profile then that is a indication to no longer pursue the relationship.

Always use your gut instincts, there is no written book about how to do anything. These tips will give you some advantage but trusting your gut instincts will always work to your advantage. Take some time to get quiet and really think if this is the right situation for you and you will probably come with the right answer.
